Service I — PPF

Paint Protection Film.

Shield your paint from the elements.

— Introduction

Paint Protection Film — also known as clear bra — is a thick, durable, transparent urethane film applied to painted surfaces. It acts as a sacrificial barrier, absorbing impacts and preventing damage to your vehicle's original paint.

01 / Protection

What PPF protects against.

Rock chips & road debris. Highway driving exposes your vehicle to flying stones and gravel. PPF absorbs these impacts, preventing chips and scratches that would otherwise damage your paint permanently.

Scratches & scuffs. Minor scratches from car washes, parking incidents or everyday use are absorbed by the film rather than affecting your paint. Modern PPFs feature self-healing properties — minor scratches disappear with heat.

Environmental damage. Bird droppings, tree sap, bug splatter and acid rain — all of which can etch and stain paint if left untreated.

UV degradation. Quality PPF includes UV inhibitors that prevent paint fading and oxidation, keeping your colour vibrant for years.

24–48 hours in our climate-controlled facility. Detailed inspection for clarity, coverage and edge integrity.

  6. 06

    Delivery & care.

Walkthrough of the completed work and detailed care instructions.

05 / Aftercare

Post-installation care.

First 7 days (curing). No washing. Avoid extended direct sunlight. No wax or sealants. Avoid high-pressure water on edges.

After initial cure. Hand wash or touchless automatic washes. Avoid brush-style washes. pH-neutral soaps only. Wax or ceramic coating safe after 30 days. Clean bird droppings and bug splatter promptly.

Self-healing. Minor scratches heal in warm conditions — direct sunlight, warm water or a heat gun on low setting. Most disappear within 24–48 hours.

Lifespan. 7–10 years (manufacturer warranty), often longer with regular maintenance. Film can be removed and replaced without paint damage.

— Questions

Frequently asked.

Will PPF yellow over time?

Modern PPF formulations do not yellow. Older films (pre-2010) had yellowing issues, but current films from 3M, XPEL and SunTek are UV-stable and remain crystal clear for 10+ years.

Can PPF be removed?

Yes. PPF is designed to be removed without damaging the paint underneath. We recommend professional removal if the film is older than 10 years.

Does PPF affect paint warranty?

No. PPF is non-invasive and does not void manufacturer paint warranties. Many dealerships now offer PPF as a factory option.

Can I apply ceramic coating over PPF?

Yes — we recommend it for maximum protection and ease of maintenance. Wait 30 days after PPF installation before applying ceramic coating.

Will PPF prevent all rock chips?

PPF significantly reduces rock chip damage, but extreme impacts may still penetrate the film. Even then, the film absorbs most of the impact, minimising paint damage.

How do I maintain PPF?

Regular hand washing with pH-neutral soap. Avoid automatic brush washes. Clean contaminants promptly. You can wax or seal PPF just like regular paint.
